ROSE APPLIQUE DESIGNS

We offer this much loved flower in a Simple Rose accent, the traditional square Macintosh Rose, Long Stemmed Roses, as a single or a bouquet, and an abstract wild rose, the Shah Rose.

SIMPLE ROSE

At right, a simple version of the geometric rose. Use it as a border or alone at a corner.

MACKINTOSH ROSE

This design was inspired by the geometric roses of Charles Rennie Mackintosh, the Scottish artist and designer. It can be used singly or grouped as here in a composition for a row of windows. Seen here in natural Irish linen with wine, dark green and antique gold motifs.

We used Mackintosh Rose here on single panel half curtains of one and a half fullness. Half curtains like this are a nice idea for city houses with close-by neighbors as they provide privacy while letting in light. These curtains are finished with a pin-stitched hem and a rod pocket and hung on traditional rods with inside-mount barrel brackets.

LONG STEMMED ROSE, at left

At left, a long vertical design influenced by the Viennese Arts & Crafts style of the Weiner Werkstatte. Length is sized proportionate to the fabric panel.
